Malabsorptive Procedure is an operation, such as the Biliopancreatic Diversion (BPD), Biliopancreatic Diversion with the Scopinaro (BPDS) approarch or the Duodenal Switch (DS) with a Biliopancreatic Diversion (BPD-DS) cause large weight loss is severly morbidly obese patients. The procedure is a very aggressive and complicated compared to other weight loss surgeries. Weight loss is significant and the side effects can be great.
