Very-low Calorie Diet Also called a Yo-Yo diet as the person will follow an extreme diet to loss weight fast but due to the body it is very easy to gain weight back especailly water weight. Most people will even gain more weight after they complete the diet as the metabolism has slowed. "starvation mode" is a common term used to explain what the body goes through. A person may follow a very low calorie diet by eating or drinking commercially prepared foods that has 800 calories or less. A person wanting to lose weight in this fashion should only be used under the supervision of a health care provider.
